The Saltwater Crocodile
Saltwater crocodiles, also known as ‘salties’ are the largest living reptiles. The saltwater croc can, as the name suggests, survive in an ocean habitat as well as freshwater. The saltwater crocodile is an ambush predator. To drown larger prey, a salty will do a death roll, which is when it rolls to get the prey off balance. Even though they are rare, most saltwater crocodile attacks on humans are fatal.
